Exosome mesotherapy

Other treatments bring materials. This one brings instructions.

Exosomes are tiny vesicles through which cells communicate with one another. Applied through microchannels, they do not feed the skin — they pass on the signal for it to repair itself.

Why it works

Signals, not bricks

A vitamin cocktail brings materials into the skin. Exosomes bring something else: information. They are extracellular vesicles — capsules of 30 to 200 nanometres — through which cells pass instructions to one another.

Inside they carry growth factors, cytokines and RNA molecules. When they reach a cell and bind to it, they hand that content over. In practice: a cell that has slowed down receives again the instructions it used to work by.

This is why exosomes are not used on their own but after a needling treatment: the freshly opened microchannels are the route to where the signal counts. Without that route they stay on the surface.

Honestly

What it is and what it is not

Exosomes are the newest chapter in regenerative skincare — and precisely for that reason the subject most written about and most promised. We would rather tell you plainly where we stand. "Beauty without artifice" applies to promises too.

The question
The answer, without detours
Is this an injection?
No. In the studio the preparation is applied topically, through microchannels opened by microneedling. Injectable procedures are medical acts and are performed exclusively by a doctor.
Is this a medicine?
No. We work with professional cosmetic preparations, not medicinal products. We treat and cure nothing — this is an aesthetic procedure.
How well established is it?
The mechanism by which cells communicate through extracellular vesicles is well described in the literature. The aesthetic results are promising, but the research is still young and standards vary widely between manufacturers. We will not sell you certainties that do not exist.
What can you realistically expect?
An improvement in skin quality: smoothness, firmness, evenness, and a calmer recovery after a needling treatment. Not a change of shape, and not a result from one session.
Who it does not make sense for
If your budget allows only one treatment, we recommend something else — a course of microneedling or revitalization gives more for the money. Exosomes are an additional step, not the starting point.

The session

Three steps, no surprises

Exosomes do not have a session of their own. They close a microneedling session — and that is exactly why the order matters.

Step 01

Consultation and assessment

We discuss the goal, check contraindications and establish whether this is the right moment. If the skin has active inflammation we postpone — a signal does not help on inflamed ground.

Step 02

Opening the route in

With the Dermapen 4™ we open the microchannels, at a depth adapted to each zone. This is the part you feel — a vibration and a fine tingle.

Step 03

Applying the preparation and calming

The sterile ampoule is opened in front of you and applied immediately through the freshly created channels. Then comes the calming mask and the protection for the first hours.

Who it suits

What we can work on together

Exosomes are an additional step. They make sense where the foundation is already in place.

Loss of firmness and elasticity

The main indication. When the skin has begun to lose density and a classic course has already given what it could, this is the step that goes further.

The usual areas: face, neck, décolleté and the backs of the hands.

Uneven texture and marks left after acne

For textural irregularities, the combination of microneedling plus exosomes supports the remodelling process better than needling alone.

The result builds in series. Deep scarring, however, remains a long-term goal, and we say openly how much is realistically achievable.

A calmer recovery after needling treatments

A practical and often overlooked reason: applied at the end of a session, exosomes support the settling of the skin over the following hours and days.

For anyone with a tight calendar, that may be the only difference that matters.

Reactive skin with a weakened barrier

Here we work cautiously and only after careful assessment. Reactive skin may benefit from a stronger barrier, but it may also respond unpredictably.

Persistent redness, visibly dilated vessels, or skin that flares often are signs that call for a medical diagnosis first. We send you to a doctor — we do not guess.

What we do not address

We do not treat hair loss, we do not treat skin conditions, and we do not correct volume or shape. All of these are either medical acts or the target of other procedures.

If what you are looking for falls into those categories, we say so and point you in the right direction — even if that means the session does not take place.

Addition

On NAD⁺ and combinations

Alongside exosome preparations, regenerative skincare also uses formulations containing NAD⁺, a coenzyme involved in cellular metabolism. We can include it in the protocol as a complementary element when the assessment supports it.

The same rule applies here as above, though: research into cosmetic application is young, and we do not make promises the literature does not yet support. What we can do is explain at the consultation what is known, what is not, and which choice seems reasonable for your skin.

Common questions

What you want to know beforehand

Is this an injection?

No. The preparation is applied topically, through microchannels opened by microneedling.

Mesotherapy with a syringe, fillers and botulinum toxin are medical acts and are performed exclusively by a doctor. If what you are looking for falls into that category, we point you in the right direction.

Where do the exosomes come from?

The professional cosmetic preparations used in the studio come from specialist manufacturers and arrive in sterile, sealed ampoules that are opened in front of you and used only once.

At the consultation we show you exactly which product we use and what it contains. It is a good question and deserves a specific answer, not a general one.

Does it hurt?

The part you feel is the microneedling: a vibration and a fine tingle. Applying the preparation itself is not felt.

Say at any point if you want a zone worked more gently — we adjust immediately. You set the pace.

Does it really work?

The mechanism by which cells communicate through extracellular vesicles is well described scientifically. Its application in aesthetics, however, is a young field: reported results are promising, and the differences between preparations on the market are considerable.

What we can honestly tell you: it is a valuable additional step on a foundation already laid, not a miracle solution. If someone promises you otherwise, it is worth asking what they base that on.

How many sessions do I need?

Usually a series of 3 sessions about 4 weeks apart, built into the overall plan.

We settle the exact number together at the consultation, after assessment. As with any biological process, the result builds across the course.

When can it not be done?

The session is postponed or does not take place in cases including: pregnancy and breastfeeding, active inflammatory acne, active herpes, infections or injuries of the skin in the treated area, recent tanning or sunburn, clotting disorders, recent treatment with isotretinoin, autoimmune conditions, ongoing or recent oncological treatment, and a known allergy to components of the preparation.

We discuss all of this at the consultation. If you are on medication, bring that information with you. Where there is medical doubt, we send you to a doctor first — we do not improvise.

What do I do at home in the days after?

For the first 24 hours the skin is left alone: no make-up, no products with acids or retinol, no unnecessary touching. For a few days, avoid the sauna, the pool, the gym and sun exposure.

Sun protection is essential. You receive written recommendations and the right products for home at the end of the session.

What does it cost?

The price is set at the consultation, according to the preparation used, the areas treated and the plan agreed. You will be told clearly and in full before you decide anything — with no costs appearing along the way.

Dermapen 4™ is a registered trademark of DermapenWorld. The treatment performed in the studio is cosmetic: preparations are applied topically through microchannels, not injected. It is not a medical treatment and does not replace one. Injectable procedures are performed exclusively by a doctor. The aesthetic application of extracellular vesicles is a recent field of research; the information on this page is for guidance only and does not replace medical advice.
